Single Mum Needs Support
Hi Everyone My name is alexis i'm 24 and i'm a single mum to kieran 5 and chloe 3. iv been away from there daddy since april 2004. I went through a lot in the 6 and a half years i was with there dad and it took a lot of courage to leave when we did we went to womans aid (for a second time) then to a bed & breakfast then to a furnished flat before getting my own house 29th june 04. since then a lots happened good and bad my problem that i would like some advice on and support is that basically i've not got any support from there daddy or from my family. since leaving nearly 2 years ago he is not provided financial support not that im asking for a lot from him and to be honest the lack of money he gives me does'nt bother me in fact iv been known to help him out financially when he's needed it but again it doesnt bother me its the fact that he hardly ever sees them that hurts and when he does it's always on his terms iv tried talking to him saying we should sort out an arrangement for the kids but all he ever says is we will see or we will but it never happens so thats the first thing. for my family well they are there on the phone my mum will watch them if i ask for a couple of hours if i want or need to go out but its always in my house it would just be nice if she or the rest of my family could say u know alexis we will keep the kids for a night or a weekend and give you a break (wishful thinking) these things really sadden me there daddy says he loves them but doesnt show it in the right way. i love my kids soo much and i wouldnt be without them but i find it so hard having them 24/7 with the lack of support. I would love anyone to reply with advice or anything they want to say on this subject or if there is anyone going through the same as me id love to hear from them 2.
