OK, number one, BREATH.

A good starting point is to get an appointment with your mortagage provider (assuming you haven't already done this). Explain exactly your situation, they are human, they may have some suggessions.

My thoughts are as you can't get a mortagage break, if its repayment try changing it to an interest only one as thsi will probably half what your paying, another possiblilty is to extend the mortage to a 30 or someplaces even do 50 year mortagage.

Try phoning up gingerbreads advise line they may know of some loans that are availible for your situation.

Next thing if your in that bader state finicially, your going to need to sit down and work out a budget start with what you need to live on, then work out what you can afford to pay on the debt and start phoning up the place you own explaining what happened and that you can afford to pay X amount a month. Don't go through a fiance company if you can help it.

As you are new too beginning a single parent I have two other pieces of advise to share, don't let your pride get in the way accept every piece of help offered, and stay positive you have the strength to get through this and your children will benifit from see just how strong their mum is.

Take care, chin up and don't be afraid to lean of ppl (I'm always about at some point in the week)

Big hug
