life after violent separation
Reply Quote
i am a 28 years old mother of two kids age 5 and 2. i have recently come out of a violent relationship of 8 years and am going to court next week to seek injunction against my husband.

we separated in april this year and he has refused to sign any separation or divorce documents. i cannot avoid a solicitors, so am doing the diy separation or divorce. am also not entitle to legal aid as i have got a house.

i have got heaps of debt incurred by my husband against the house that is in my name. basically everything is a struggle now.

in june i met this guy who was an inspiration to me both career wise and emotionally, recently he has been saying things like although he loves me a great deal he is scare of my ex- husband to be and he is a bit concern that we rarely go out recently as i cannot afford a baby sitter after paying for full time nursery and afterschool club.

three days ago he told me he needed sometimes to himself and call back three hours later to asked after the kids and our safety.whenever we are together we speak the same language in regards to politics, childcare, financial world(as we are both in financial industry) etc. he is like the other missing part of me but am scare of his on and off attitude recently and i have hold on from calling him back since. he is 17 years older than i am but our age difference has never been an issue. he was living with a woman he has three kids with but they did not get married and always express his fear of marriage as his parents divorce twice.

am in turmoil with this kind of relationship as i have got my two little kids to think of and i have got a lot going on with my soon to be ex- husband. any advise or views is welcome.
