I'm a stay-at-home single mum and always made to feel that I'm a drain on society. For me its important to be with my son in his early years, and then work when he's at school.  That was fine for our mothers and since girl-power it seems that your not valid unless you work.  Angry [:@].  Also my friends who have partners seem to pity my because my sons father doesn't want to know, that was his choice, but as my son and I have never know anything different we're fine.Super Angry [8o|]

oh babe i know how you feel! im always getting UNNEEDED sympathy from others, im like, im a single mum, NOT A BLOODY INVILID!!!!! just explain to people that you and your son are happy as you are, and tell them you would rather talk about something else and move the subject on.
