hi, i'm a single mum of 3 very young children, aged 4,2,8 months i have a partner but we live separatly.
the last yrs has been a nightmare for us. 12 months ago i was pregnant living with 4 kids but july 2007 everything changed. My daughter was born, one of the best days of my life, but 3 days later something was wrong my daughter was born with menegitus, two weeks in and out of hospital everything was given the all clear so we thought. At 7 weeks old my daughter had menegitus again but this time it caused more damage. For 2 months myself and my other 2 younger children lived in cambridge hospital with my poorly little girl, while my older 2 went to live with there dad cos of schooling. in the 2 months we were there my little girl had 4 operations on her head because they found she had a cyst on one side and hydrocephlus, since the operations she has developed epilepsy, asthma hearing problems. she is having infusions every 3 weeks due to them finding part of her immune system is missing, they not sure if its life long of temperory, she is due a eye test this week because her eye aren't level and seems to have problem seeing distances, she has reqular physio to help her catch up with her pers. myself n 3 young children spend most of our time going to appointments at our local hospital as well as cambridge plus trying to lead a normal life, its hard but its the love we have that pulls us throu, i dont know anyone in my area apart from very few family members. everyday is a battle but we get throu and very slowly things do get easier.

HI,

I just wanted you to know I literally created an account just to write this to you.  I noticed no-one has answered your post and wanted to say.  I thought I was going through the mill but you really are having it tough.  I don't have the answers to why good people have bad things happen or children get very sick, but I know that I am here, thinking of you and reaching out just to say, you are not alone and I do care about what must be hell in your life and hard in your head.  Big love to you and your family and your daughter.  Please take care
