This looks like a site that will be well received by many and it's so new! I am a single dad so, sorry for posting on your forum, but I thought I would state my piece and see what the single mum's on here think.
I have recently purchased a Speed dating franchise with Xfactordates.com and will be running events in Crawley, Horsham and East Grinstead, West Sussex, although Xfactordates actually run events all over the country. Ages will be grouped and range from 18-50 yrs, sorry over 50's but company policy for now, I'm working on it! We also hold themed events for gay, christian, professional etc, so something for everyone. I am also looking into a single parents event, for mum's and dad's who have children, or for singles who do not mind that you have children.
Anyway, head office promote speed dating as a safe environment to meet other singles, as there are around 40 people there, at least 3 staff and we have the clients email address, a mobile number and credit card details held securely at head office. We only release your email address if you give permission, by ticking either "Yes" or "Friend" on your event scorecard and your "match" does the same.
So the question is, would you feel this is a safe way to meet men? Whether alone or with friends on the night. Personally I think it is much safer than internet dating, when you really have no idea who you are conversing with, whether they really are that old/young, if their picture is a true likeness or even a picture of them!
Maybe this could have a poll atached for reference or be made a "sticky"
